This project based coaching program will help you achieve a tangible finished graphic novel that you can pitch, self-publish and showcase at future conventions.

New to tabling? We'll take a field trip to a convention to learn do’s and don'ts while practicing your elevator pitch and networking with real time support and encouragement. Cartoonist will leave this program with all the digital assets needed for robust social media marketing campaigns as well as self-promotion as a cartoonist. Join this program to kick start or re-ignite the fire inside with accountability, organization, discipline, and a network of cartoonists and professionals to learn from.

6 Month Breakdown

World building. This is a confidential safe space where you can get feedback as you build the world for your graphic novel. We will spend this time doing character designs, setting, plot breakdowns, looking at references, and getting technical assistance in your writing and drawing as needed.
The middle part of the program will consist of working on your comic pages based on your production schedule and starting to work on marketing assets.
Who are you? We’ll spend these months focused on brand strategy, audience cultivation, and reviewing things like your website, portfolio etc.
Final 2 months to complete your graphic novel. We’ll do test prints and provide technical support where needed for inking, lettering, cover designs, and more.
During the 6 month program you will be an invited an optional field trip to a comic convention. You will research table layouts, listen to panels, and network, and practice your elevator pitch for your comic in real time with people you meet there.
By the end of 6 month, we will be like family! We will work together to ensure you leave with a 3 month action plan to execute on your own which will vary based on your desire to crowd fund for your graphic novel, pitch to publishers, or a combination of both.
We will also cross promote your work as alumni of Tek Up Space.
